For Some Strange Reason Central Australia Has Very Little Optical Fiber

I normally post something everyday.  Quite possibly not something that is actually worth posting, but still something none the less.  But I have been traveling recently and so have not been able to do this.  It seems that some places in Australia can handle electric lights or internet access, but not both at the same time.  What's more, soon I'll go bush where there don't even appear to be electrical sockets built into rocks and shrubs, let alone any sign of this National Broadband Network we're supposed to have.  I mean the word national is in the title there and the desert is part of the nation, but for some reason there is hardly any fiber optic cable to be found.  I mean, shouldn't it be called the Where People Actually Live Broadband Network?  Otherwise people might get upset that they can't watch videos of baby pandas sneezing while they die of thirst and heat prostration.

Anyway, I won't be posting for a couple of weeks.  Or never if I die of thirst and heat prostration or cold prostration at night.  Unless I find some fiber optic attached to the Whatever Broadband Network.
